Reach Numbers
When your new ComfyTel account is created it is automatically assigned an internal number (i.e., dialable just within the ComfyTel network) which other people may use to reach you. As these numbers are dialable only within ComfyTel, the callers need firstly to connect to ComfyTel - for example by dialing one of the ComfyTel access numbers, and then dial your internal number.
If you prefer for people to call you directly rather than in the two stages described above, we can provide you with one or more directly dialable ComfyTel numbers (DIDs) to serve as your Reach Numbers. You can have the number from a different part of the country from your location or a different country for that matter. It will cost people less or nothing to call you. It is also a great way for making a small company appear larger than it actually is.
Where you actually receive the call is completely under your control, you never need to give anybody your mobile phone number or, for that matter, any other number you currently want to receive incoming calls on. It is easy to set these rules up for each Reach Number individually. For more details on this see the Enhanced Reachability section.
ComfyTel also provides you with an option to enable any of your Reach Numbers (your DIDs) to serve as your personal Access Number for outbound calling, as well as a Pickup Number - for changing your phone during a call
Enhanced Reachability
ComfyTel provides a vast set of features to control your reachability. The ComfyTel reachability solution is two-fold: 1) it provides your callers with various free-of-charge ways to call you from anywhere; and 2) it lets you control where and how you want to receive your incoming calls.
When you open a ComfyTel account you are automatically assigned an internal number dialable within the ComfyTel network. Other ComfyTel subscribers, as well as non-subscribers can start calling you immediately (after accessing the ComfyTel network using one of the Comfytel Access Numbers).
If you want to be reachable directly from public telephony networks, Comfytel can provide you with one or more directly dialable DID numbers in countries and cities of your choice. ComfyTel also provides you an option of making your existing phone numbers, mobile or fixed, dialable within the ComfyTel network. This allows your callers, (especially non-ComfyTel subscribers), to use familiar phone numbers, without a need to memorize new ones (except the local ComfyTel Access Number).
Another cool way of being called is with the CallMe Link - please click here for the feature description. And one more: Skype users can call you for free just by sending your reach number to Comfytel Skype ID - no need to use SkypeOut credits!
The second part of the ComfyTel reachability solution offers a wide choice of options for receiving incoming calls. By setting the call treatment rules, you may choose to receive your calls on any of your phones and softphones (including Skype), or on any group of your phones. After answering the call on a specific device, you can easily transfer the call to any other device registered in your ComfyTel account.
You can also setup your availability schedule for the day-of-week/time-of-day control of where you want to receive calls, or send the calls directly to voice mail. Note that you can set up different incoming call treatment rules for the various Reach Numbers you may have.
Mobile Reach Number
For many people, their mobile phones are the primary means of communications and their mobile numbers are shared with other people as their main or only contact numbers. A need to provide callers with a new contact number instead of the mobile number may be seen by some as a major inconvenience.
If this applies to you, ComfyTel allows you to put ComfyTel calling features behind your mobile number. You need to have a personal Reach Number with ComfyTel and forward (Conditional Call Forwarding) your mobile number to it. Whenever you turn off your mobile phone or don't answer or reject a call on it, the call will go to ComfyTel and will be applied with the calling features you have enabled in your account.
You can even answer the call on your mobile phone if you didn't answer/rejected it the first time. This might be a useful strategy for the savings enabled by ComfyTel mobile calling - for example, if you have a mobile plan with free calling to/from a specific number, and you set up this specific number to your personal Reach Number.
Free INUM Numbers
Your Reach numbers can include a free INUM number. Your INUM number lets people dial you directly using service providers who support INUM routing. Even if INUM is not supported by a service provider, callers can use a world-wide set of the access numbers to reach the INUM network and then dial your number in the second stage of the dialing.
Phone Management
One of the key features of the ComfyTel solution is the independence between the Reach Numbers people dial to call you, and the phones where you receive the calls (described in the Enhanced Reachability section). Along with the Reach Number management (see the Reach Numbers section), ComfyTel offers a convenient set of tools to manage your phones and softphones.
You can register any number of phones, including softphones and Skype, under your ComfyTel account. It can be any combination of your mobile phone, home phone (PSTN or IP, or both), your office phone, etc. The phones can be added and removed from your account at any time, so you may find it useful for example, to temporarily include your grandma's phone number whilst staying at her place over the weekend. As soon as the phone is added to your account and verified, it can be used for incoming, as well as outgoing calls with ComfyTel.
To start receiving your calls on a phone, the phone has to be included in the Incoming Call Treatment rules for one or more of your Reach Numbers. You can also start making outgoing calls right away using ComfyTel WebPhone (FlashPhone or HTMLPhone) GUI, as well as dialing on the phone itself.
However, there are couple phone attributes you can setup for the most appropriate dialing.
First, it's the Personal/Shared setting. You can define your phone as Personal (an obvious choice for your Mobile, for example). A call dialed from a Personal phone has all call control features available - you can setup a Caller ID presentation, change phones during the call, perform call transfers, create a conference and so on. However, a call dialed from a Shared phone (usually it's your home phone you share with your household members), while still served by ComfyTel with it's great calling rates, is not subject to the calling features.
Another phone setting is the choice between the PIN-required and the PIN-free modes. When a phone is set to the PIN-required, the origination attempt from it will be prompted with the request to enter your 14-digit PIN before dialing the destination number. To avoid this hassle and if you are not concerned about unauthorized use of the phone, you may set the phone (both Personal and Shared) as PIN-free.
There is one more phone attribute - the phone could be set for use as a Reach number within ComfyTel, similar to the internal reach number. It may benefit people calling you as they don't need to memorize a new number (except the ComfyTel Access Number) and use a familiar one.
Advanced Call Control
ComfyTel offers rich, Web-based GUI for call control - our WebPhone. The WebPhone is presented in two forms - Flash-based and HTML-based. Both provide advanced visual call control capabilities, making calling and invoking call features easy and fun. By simple drag-and-drop you can create conferences, add and remove conference participants, make blind and supervised transfers, change the device you are using during the call and so on. Please check the call control tutorials for details.
Traveller Friendly
Roaming charges are often exorbitant. ComfyTel provides a solution allowing you to call and be called when abroad at almost local call rates. The solution is based on SIM card replacement - prepaid SIM cards are available in most international airports. ComfyTel supports very simple mechanism of attaching new SIM card to the customer account by sending an SMS to the ComfyTel network or through the Web interface. You don't need to inform anybody about the new phone number you are using, as ComfyTel will automatically take care of routing calls dialed to your Reach Number(s).
If you use a smart phone with the WingBee application, it will make calling when traveling abroad, practically transparent to you. But you can use any phone, even an occasional one, to make and receive low rate calls while travelling. All you need to do is to register the phone number in your Comfy Account and set it up to receive and make the calls it is possible to use either the dial-in or the callback service (see the Advanced Callback section).
Free SIP Accounts
With ComfyTel, you don't need to change anything in your current fixed or mobile subscriptions or phones to start enjoying the unparalleled convenience and cost savings we can offer. However, you can take the savings and the convenience even further by using VoIP devices and/or soft clients. You don't need an expensive VoIP phone for that, any basic standard SIP phone will do, as all ComfyTel smart features are provided through the ComfyTel service rather than the phone itself. An inexpensive ATA (analog telephony adapter) can also be used turning any regular phone into a SIP phone. And, of course, you can use one of the popular free SIP softphones.
Skype Calling
ComfyTel allows Skype fans to continue using Skype clients. You can define your Skype ID as one of the phones at your disposal and set it up to ring when your Reach Number is called, as well as make outbound calls using, for example, the ComfyTel WebPhone GUI. In other words, you will no longer require SkypeOut or SkypeIn to communicate with the regular phones - ComfyTel will provide the inter-working.
Additionally, you can use the Skype messaging capability to control your account settings and initiate calls by sending instructions to ComfyTel SkypeID.
ComfyTel also enables "toll-free" Skyping - anybody on Skype can call you without a need to buy SkypeOut credits. All your callers need to do is to send a message with one of your Reach Numbers to the ComfyTel SkypeID, or click on the CallMe Link you provided. ComfyTel will skype the caller back and, when the caller answers, will ring you and connect you to the caller.
Call Recording
ComfyTel enables you to record your important conversations. You can start the recording at any time during the call by pressing *1 on the dial pad of your phone, and finish it at any time by pressing *2. The recording will be immediately available on you account page at ComfyTel for listening and downloading.
You can also listen to your recordings by dialing the numbers associated with them at the Recordings Web page, or even connect a recording to an on-going conference call to be played on the bridge.
Advanced Callbacks
Callback is a useful way to eliminate long distance charges or take advantage of the different airtime charges for incoming and outgoing mobile calls. The WingBee application on a smart phone will do the Callback service invocation for you transparently. On a regular phone (the phone has to be set as the PIN-free in your account) you do it manually by dialing a predefined Callback Number. ComfyTel will receive and confirm your request through a voice recording and prompt you to disconnect. Note that this call is free of charge as it's not actually answered by ComfyTel. After a timeout you'll receive a call from ComfyTel and will be asked to enter your destination number. Then Comfytel will complete your call. For your favourite destination numbers (up to ten numbers) you can use Fast Callback capability where you will not be asked to enter the destination number - ComfyTel will infer it from the Fast Callback service request number itself.
Free Voice Mail
Your ComfyTel account comes with a free voice mail box. You can manage your voice mail accessing ComfyTel from any phone. Your voice mail messages are also delivered to you at the e-mail address of your choice.
CallerID Control
ComfyTel allows you to set up your Caller ID presentation independent of the device you are currently calling from. You can make your calls appear as coming from any of your reach numbers. Alternatively, you may choose to present the actual phone number or make an anonymous call.
Secure Communications
Concerned with security of calling over Internet? ComfyTel offers TLS and SRTP based security which will make your VoIP calling even more secure then the regular PSTN line calling - unlike a PSTN line, it cannot be physically tampered with.
Outlook Integration
ComfyTel lets you make your Outlook contacts dialable with ComfyTel by simply clicking on them. All you need to do is to download and install a piece of software from ComfyTel.
Cheap International SMS
Using ComfyTel GUI you can send SMS globally at our very attractive rates.
CallMe Link
CallMe Link is a way to dramatically enhance your reachability. Embedded into your e-mail signature or appearing on your Web page, the CallMe Link makes calling you easy and completely free for your callers. The callers will be able to use any available phone or Skype to talk to you.
ComfyTel gives you the means to control how the CallMe Link is used. You can choose to let anybody call you, or limit the calling only to your contacts. You can also control the cost of the CallMe Link-initiated calls to you by setting the call rate limit for such calls.
Conference & Transfer
ComfyTel makes conferencing easy. You can create instant conferences and add conference participants by simple drag-and-drop any of your contacts into the "conference room" in your FlashPhone GUI, or remove them by a single click.
And with the same level of convenience - by a single click or a drag-and-drop - you can transfer your calls, either blindly or supervised, and turn your 3-way Conference into the Call Transfer.
If you use the HTMLPhone GUI you can initiate an instant conference by dialing to all the participants at once.
For more detail please see the ComfyTel tutorials.
Detailed Call Logs
All your incoming and outgoing calls will have a call record immediately available upon the call completion on your account page. The record will provide information about the date and time of the call, the call duration, applicable rates and the total cost of the call.
WAP Portal
ComfyTel supports a WAP portal allowing you to control your communications from a mobile device, similar to doing it on the WebPhone GUI. You can set up your originating phone, dial from your Web-based Contacts, Call History and Favourites, as well as from the keypad. WAP portal address: wap.comfytel.com
Call Screening
Tired of the telemarketing calls? ComfyTel Call Screening feature provides effective means to protect you from these calls, as well as from any other unwanted calls. Callers subjected to the screening are prompted to record their names before the calls are presented to you. You will have a choice to either accept the call, direct it to your voice mail or reject it. The Call Screening feature allows you to select whether to apply the screening to all callers, or to unidentified callers (with no caller ID presented), or to callers that are not in your ComfyTel contacts list.
Custom Ringback and Music-On-Hold
ComfyTel offers you a choice of tunes and tones you can use for your ringback and the music-on-hold (MOH). You can setup different ringbacks for an initial and for a waiting call. In near future ComfyTel will enable uploading of your own audio files to be used as the ringback and MOH.

You have an option to configure your inbound calling for offering the callers to leave you a voice mail without ringing your phones.
Social Networks
